American Woodmark Welcomes New VP of IT, Chief Information Officer

We are proud to announce and welcome Bill Waszak as the VP of IT and Chief Integration Officer (CIO). We are continuing to leverage our investments in technology to drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, collaboration and making new investments to digitize the enterprise. In his new role, Bill will develop and deploy an IT strategy and roadmap that is well-aligned with the business strategy and a powerful enabler for success.

Bill recently served as the VP and CIO of The AZEK Company, LLC. He has held a number of IT leadership positions including VP and CIO/CTO at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Division VP – Global Applications at Nalco Company. He has held a number of business support roles such as VP of Supply Chain and Business Transformation at The Chamberlain Group, Inc. and Director – Limited Logistics Services at Limited Brands Incorporated. He also spent over ten years with Ernst and Young, LLP implementing large-scale ERP solutions with multiple corporations.

When asked what he was most looking forward to at American Woodmark, Bill stated, “In the simplest terms – becoming an active member of the Woodmark family. Even before I joined the company, I realized there is something special here that I wanted to be part of! The home page on the company website says it all 'More Than Cabinets - At American Woodmark, we don’t just build cabinets. We build careers. We build community. And we build a better world around us.'”

He continued, "As the CIO, I look forward to partnering with leaders across the company helping them enable their business strategies. I realize that technology is integral to just about everything we do as a business, and the IT organization here at American Woodmark will be ready. It is now clear and generally accepted that digital technologies have and will continue to accelerate the pace of change. We as a company need to be prepared in these highly innovative and disruptive times to leverage new technologies from machine learning, ERP & direct-to-consumer solutions, analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud, AR/VR, IoT, and let’s not forget cybersecurity threats.”

Bill received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Arizona State University and his MBA from Cleveland State University. Bill and his wife recently relocated to the Winchester, VA area from Chicago and can be found working out at the local fitness center in the mornings.

In his off-time, Bill considers himself a weekend historian. Recent reads include the Rise and Downfall of Prussia, The Habsburg Empire and a biography on Napoleon. “My interest in history was sparked by a general curiosity as to why major historical events took place – such as; how and why did World War I start, who started the French Revolution and why, why Alexander the Great invaded Persia, and so on.”

Welcome, Bill!
